The History. Founded in the resort town of Telluride, Colorado the Mitch Morgan Whiskey/Bacon shot was invented in 1999 after a long night at the world famous Fat Alley BBQ restaurant located at 122 South Oak Street in Downtown Telluride. Long time local Mitch Morgan was looking for a change in his shot choice. Fat Alley owner, Robbie Odell, was open to new suggestions and the "Mitch Morgan" shot was born. To this day locals and toursists alike are enjoying the shot, creating a buzz that is spreading throughout the world
Recently, Fat Alley BBQ moved down the street, under the Camel's Gaden Hotel at the Base of Chair 8. Don't panic....the same shot glass and same tasty shot are being offered at the new location: OAK...THE NEW FAT ALLEY
